As a parent it’s natural to feel wary when taking your children to crowded places. Nothing quite beats that feeling of panic when for that split second you think you might have lost one.
I felt exactly that way when returning from a holiday when my youngest, Harry was two. The airport was crowded around the carousel as we all waited for our luggage to arrive. I was trying to keep an eye on the boys as well as for my bags. I took my eyes off Harry for just a few seconds but when I turned back he was gone. For a few brief moments I couldn’t find him and I was becoming frantic. Then, thankfully, I saw him. The little monkey had wandered off and was standing with another family, not more than about 5 metres away.
