Top Tips for Maximising Holiday Savings: How to save money on your next family holiday

Holidays are so important. The opportunity to take just one or two weeks away from it all and spend quality time with your loved ones without interruptions, luxuriating in some much-needed time out, is an absolute gift, the value of which cannot be underestimated. However, we are all looking ahead mindful of rising costs, and wondering how we can make that essential holiday as affordable as possible. With this in mind, we’ve put together our top money-saving tips to help you maximise your holiday savings, and secure the break your family needs and deserves without breaking the bank.

1. Be flexible

We’ve mentioned this before, but we can’t stress this one enough, flexibility always saves. We had one customer save £1000 on her holiday this year just by being flexible on driving two hours to a different airport and leaving her car in the long-stay car park. We personally always depart on a Tuesday because it keeps the cost down. When you select your preferred dates for one of our recommended Jet2Holidays you will see the calendar for the travel month you selected pop up, easily allowing you to select the lowest price departure date during your month of travel. You can also select your number of days’ holiday completely flexibly, which is a great addition…perhaps you’d like to go for more than 7 days but less than 10, and save a little in the process? 2. Choose a departure date with a Free Child Place included

Jet2Holidays try to keep costs down by issuing lots of free child places on their holidays, at all times of year, to all destinations. You can find them all year round, but you’ll get the best choice in September. It’s easy to identify which departure dates have free child places included as you’ll see a smiley face in the top right-hand corner of that date on the aforementioned Calendar. 3. Book Now for a low Deposit and lock in this year’s prices

This is another great way to maximise your holiday savings.
