Our Honest Review of Invisa Figueral Resort Ibiza
Nestled amidst the cliffs of the North Coast of beautiful boho Ibiza, a world away from Ibiza’s party scene, you’ll find the delightful Resort of Invisa Figueral. Elegantly situated with breath-taking, panoramic sea-views, and a five minute stroll from one of Ibiza’s finest beaches, it really is a dreamy, peaceful place, ready to entice you to simply relax and let go.

With its gorgeous location and outstanding child friendly facilities, this resort was one of the earliest we ever added to the website at www.bestchildfriendlyholidays.co.uk and, having had an eye on it for years, we were delighted when Jet2Holidays invited us to visit.
Ibiza, once known chiefly for its vibrant party scene, is fast becoming a firm family favourite. It’s just a short, 2 hour, flight from the UK, starts to warm up in April (19 degrees approx, lovely and warm during our stay!) and experiences average temperatures of 23 degrees even into October, following its lovely, hot summer. The island is famous for its turquoise waters and awe-inspiring sunsets, coupled with an effortlessly inclusive vibe which warmly welcomes and embraces children.
What follows is our honest, rave review of our stay at Invisa Figueral Resort with Jet2Holidays, which we found the perfect place for our family to relax, unwind and spend quality time together. Read on to find out why!

Our stay at Invisa Figural Resort
Invisa Figueral Resort is officially rated a 3 star, but boasts a 4.5 Average rating on TripAdvisor. A few days here and the rave TripAdvisor reviews are easy to understand. It’s sensational beach-front location really is unparalleled and what is misses in Luxury it easily makes up for on location alone. The waters are glistening and turquoise, the sand is golden and cushion-soft, and there are easy steps down to this Haven of gloriousness from just outside the restaurant. The site is beautifully kept with gardens tended daily and palm trees fill the skies creating that breezy holiday feel. The whole place is faultlessly modern, fresh, and clean.

Family Friendly Accommodation
Invisa Figueral Resort is made up of two hotels: Cala Blanca and Cala Verde. Each has its own restaurant, and you can use both, but during our stay in April, only Cala Blanca was open for visitors. Family Friendly accommodation here comprises a mix of family rooms, larger 1 bedroom apartments sleeping up to 4, and 2 bedroom apartments sleeping up to 6. Cots are provided for little ones.
We stayed in a Superior Family Room with a Sea View, which offered two very comfortable single beds and a sofa bed which opened into two separate beds for our two boys. To the front was a small balcony with a beautiful sea view, and to the back a newly-refurbished shower room with a powerful, hot, rainfall shower.
I’m not usually a fan of us all staying in the same room, but now the boys are 10 and 12, it worked quite well for us. They are awake until we go to bed, so there was no need for the separate lounge we’d have previously required in the evening. In fact, I’d go so far as saying they loved the adventure of us all sleeping together. However, with smaller children, I definitely would have gone for an apartment, offering the opportunity for some relaxation time whilst the kids are sleeping.

Baby and Toddler Friendly

The resort is built into a cliff, but extremely accessible. Whilst there are a lot of steps there are an equal number of buggy paths and lifts, and you’d have no problem navigating the resort with little ones. There’s a buggy path down the the beach just a two minute stroll away, and baby change facilities are scattered across the resort. There are food options for all at the restaurant (pasta, fruit, veg, nuggets, chips, ice-cream) but any extra essentials you need are readily available at the SPA across the road. The resort is very inclusive of small children who joined their parents in high chairs at the restaurant. There were lots of fruit and veg options which could be mushed up for babies, but if your baby is weaning, I think the easiest thing would be to pack some food pouches and supplement.

Exceptional Baby and Child Friendly Facilities

Besides two epic outdoor pools, one with the most immense sea-views, child friendly facilities here are plentiful: there’s a pirate splash park, kids’ club from 3, a high ropes course, a playground, and an indoor heated pool if you choose to escape indoors for a little while. The pirate island splash park really is something to behold, larger than it looks in the pictures, with multiple jets and a super fun, giggle-enticing tipping bucket! It’s safe and secure, with plentiful sunbeds and a bar. To the side is a separate baby pool with some small slides for tiny adventurers.
Immediately next door the kids’ club offers a variety of fun activities from three years plus over two daily sessions. Again, its housed in its own safe, enclosed area with playground. There’s another playground to enjoy by the sea-front pool, complete with climbing frame, swings and sea-saws. Come night-fall, the mini disco takes centre stage. It was mostly in Spanish whilst we were there but in April, there were more Spanish families at the Resort than British, so we did think this might change in high season.

Lots for Older kids too
Our two boys, Sammy and Harry, are 12 and 10 now, and weren’t interested in going to the kids club, but were very interested in the football tournaments taking place regularly under the instruction of the animation team, volley ball on the beach, basket ball down the road, football in the bar and swimming in the two marvellous outdoor pools. There were daily options for archery, skittles and more. In summer, families can also enjoy a full watersports program at an extra cost, but with 50% discount for hotel guests.

Equally dreamy for the Grown-Ups
Invisa Figueral Resort Really Triumphs on delivering as many smiles for the grown-ups as the children. There’s a glorious adults only pool to relax by whilst the kids are at kids club. It’s easy to unwind there with endless views over the green hills beyond. Just past the adults only pool is the Buddha bar and Spa, again just for adults. It wasn’t open in low season so I couldn’t sample it for you, but it looked amazing and a great opportunity to experience some true Ibizan Zen! A nightly entertainment program offers fun shows for all, and “We will Rock You” was top of the bill during our stay.

Location and Things to Do
We really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful beach-side setting offered by Invisa Figueral Resort. Es Figueral is a sleepy place, which has some clear advantages: though the beach next to the hotel is not private, it’s vast, and populated almost exclusively by hotel guests. On the quiet streets outside the hotel there are a couple of gift shops and small restaurants, but otherwise, the location feels special, exclusive and secluded. However, we definitely felt we were well-connecting enough to the rest of the Island.
As with its sister island Majorca, Ibiza has an amazing bus Network, and there’s a bus right outside the hotel taking tourists to and from Santa Eulalia five times a day. We took full advantage of this and enjoyed a fabulous morning exploring one of the most beautiful, beach-side towns we’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Think white-washed houses, immaculately kept streets, fountains, air filled with the scent of honeysuckle, and tantalising Ibizan boutiques, selling dream-catchers, Buddhas, flamingos and 90s reminiscent incense sticks. Splashes of colour line the palm-filled main promenade, as do high class eateries and coffee shops. Round the corner from the beach the harbour showcases an array of wonderful boats, some of which are for hire! The beach itself is a sheltered cove with exquisite mountain views, translucent waters, and fine white sands (check out the picture below!). On Saturdays the hotel runs a bus service to the once weekly hippy market at Las Dalias, a true chance to experience Boho Ibiza, browse the stalls and indulge in the local wears.
Jet2Holidays man a desk in the reception area from which you can sign up for various day trips and cruises all over the Island, in search of old town charm and touring coastal harbours. You can also hire a car from reception, starting from around 50 Euros a day, and use the opportunity to explore the Island at leisure. The truth is that we felt we’d struck gold already with our beautiful beach at Es Figueral, and we keen to luxuriate in it for as much of our holiday as possible!

Heavenly Family All Inclusive
Our stay at Invisa Figueral Resort was All Inclusive. As a Mum, I don’t think I can rave enough about the benefits of All Inclusive, it offers such a well-earned break from the usual mental load, and means you’ve nothing to think about except relaxing and having a lovely time: no food planning, preparation, or trips to the shops whilst you’re away. There are also benefits from a budgeting stand-point, eliminating the need for spending money whilst you’re away.
The range of food at Invisa Figueral was just brilliant for families, and the restaurant offered stunning sea views. We enjoyed 3 delicious meals a day as part of our package. There’s just one restaurant at Cala Blanca and, though I wouldn’t describe it as haute cuisine, there was something for everyone, and we delighted in the endless fresh paella, garlic potatoes, and freshly fried meat and fish. An extensive salad bar and good selection of cold meats, and cheeses were also on offer, and of course a great range of fresh fruits and deserts. We’re not sure how much ice-cream the boys ate from the ice-cream bar but it was a lot! Their favourites were the pasta and meatballs, freshly cooked pizza, and chips, though we did make sure every meal involved a trip to the salad bar!
Our favourite meal was breakfast, where you could have a full English every day if that were your hearts desire, but the delicious pain au chocolat and hot chocolate were more than enough to keep us going until lunch!
One way or another, the restaurant was open pretty much all day, open throughout the afternoon serving bits and pieces for an early kids’ tea if it’s needed. On top of this, many, many drinks were included in our stay: every kind of soft drink you can think of, amazing coffee and decaf, beer, wine, sangria, cava, the list goes on. At the pool-side snack bars a range of ice-creams and lollies were available on tap, and the boys enjoyed going to ask for drinks and snacks with which to “treat” their parents.
Jet2Holidays offer a great range of All Inclusive Holidays for you to choose between, many at much more reasonable rates than you might think. We always think a one week’s All Inclusive is the same as 2 weeks self-catering for the amount of rest you get in, and we’d definitely recommend it as a go-to option for all parents! Invisa Figueral Resort does offer a Half Board Option too, offering you the flexibility of exploring the Island over lunch-time if you choose to.

Flights and Transfers
This was the first time we’d flown with Jet2 and we were so impressed: service was handed out with a constant and consistent smile. We were allocated seats together on the plane on booking, which always takes out a layer of worry (I’ve not had this experience with every airline). The planes were very clean, and the flight was quick and pleasant, with the most gorgeous views over Ibiza on descent.
On arrival Jet2Holidays staff greeted us quickly and efficiently, and the coaches were new and clean, with seat-belts. The coach transfer up to the north of the Island was 70 minutes. We do get lots of families getting in touch worrying about transfer times, but we always found our boys LOVED transfer journeys when they were small. They enjoyed seeing new places out of the windows for the first time and playing eye spy. The journey went really quickly, so please don’t let the transfer time put you off.
