Fifty years ago this year, in 1973, the first mobile phone call was made in New York, Pink Floyd released Dark Side of the Moon, and a new holiday provider came to the market, with a vision of enabling holidaymakers to experience the incomparable joy and freedom of outdoor holidays in France, without the hassle of carrying their own equipment. #2.Outstanding Family Friendly Facilities
If “camp” once made us think of being stuck for amusements, Eurocamp has flipped that conception on its head completely and become the unsung hero of family friendly fun. From baby to teen, they offer endless amusements for absolutely every member of the family. Kids are welcome at on-site fun stations from the moment they’re born, with messy, soft and music play for toddlers. As they grow older the fun stations grow with them, with chocolate parties, mini Olympics, water fights, crafts, circus skills and so much more.
I have such fond memories of attending Eurocamp kids’ club with my sisters, wherever we went the leaders were outstanding, we skipped around the park signing songs, painted the tents, and generally had an absolute ball. My own sons have also enjoyed the most wonderful times at Eurocamp kids’ club, literally covering themselves in paint and chocolate or going on pirate treasure quests around site, and there are family sessions too, so you can all get busy having fun in nature together.
Besides the regular baby and kids club sessions (which are all included) there are enough onsite facilities to keep everyone happy: exceptional pool scenes and splash parks, multiple play grounds, horse-riding, football camps, rock climbing, archery, trampolining, football camps, tennis, and so much more. In the evenings you will often find many onsite amusements to enjoy: balloon animals, bouncy castles obstacle courses, mini discos…the smiles and the giggles are endless and far-reaching.

The incredible Splash Facilities at Eurocamp Holidays Cote D’Argent, France
#3.Comfortable and stylish family friendly accommodation with 2-3 bedrooms
No tent poles and soggy ground sheets for you, take that image and completely erase it from your mind!…think stylish, modern, spacious, clean and comfortable, “home from home” accommodation with 2-3 separate bedrooms (some models even offer larger double beds for extra comfort). Kitchen facilities come fully equipped with all the mod-cons these days, the new Aspect Plus has a Nespresso Machine, I checked! Whilst there are separate wash and laundry facilities on site you’ll have at least one private bathroom. Many accommodation models have their own large decking area with beautiful outdoor furniture. Bedrooms come equipped with black out blinds, and you can pre-book sheets, potties, cots, bed-guards and so much more: everything is taken care of.
Emplacements are spacious (enough room to play your own ball games) and at enough distance from the action to secure a good nights’ sleep, whilst waking up to heart-warming bird song. Top tip: book a 3 bed if you can, the price difference is not usually high and the living space is double.

Our cost of living is high, our purses are tight. Eurocamp Holidays are passionate about providing families with great holidays, and the prices they offer reflect this. Bookings are flexible by the day so you have complete control over your arrival date and the number of nights you stay. You can also choose your mode of travel, and driving to the ferry or Eurotunnel and then traveling to your campsite can mean huge savings over taking a flight, and the roads across the channel are super. Besides, a road trip always adds to the sense of adventure!
